| I have lived in this apartment for 2years and 9 monthes. I just moved out end of October 2004(Last month). They sent me a bill for $232.70 plus my $150 deposit,$382.70 total. I called the manager to discuss these charges. She informed me that in her opinion the bill was low and that she was considering charging me $1,000.00 to replace the carpet. She essentially threatened me simply for guestioning her $ 159.00 cleaning bill, then hung up on me. I consider this very insulting. Here are the charges in question: Water Reimbursement 12.00 Carpet Cleaning 159.00 (one bedroom) Cleaning Trash Out 107.00 ( theapartment was left completly empty, another insult.) Paint/Materials/Repairs 30.00 Crisper Cover 38.70 Miniblinds 36.00 Deposit Applied to Balance -150.00 Account Balance 232.70 I cleaned a full day with 2 other people. I have never left even one paper towel. But they are charging $107.00 for that. I have been many apartments. But, I have never seen that charge paint and carpet to moving out people. Also, Carpet issue? We never used shoes inside. Even we ask anyone take shoes off inside. I was trying to be calm and speak with the Manager today. She didn't even give me time to talk about the bill. She told me I need to pay the amount in question within 2weeks and hung up. If someone wants to go there with picket signs, I will spend time on weekends to tell people in front of this apartment before they make the same mistake that I did. I believe those Who gave a good rating on this web site are still living there, and have not experienced the exit process. |
