| Recent Review: | | I have been living in Ashton Springs for at least 4 yrs.At times things can get out of hand but everyone needs to learn patience.Degreed or not (I am) Maintenance is there to do a job.If it is not done to your expectations contact the property manager and be professional. No one wants to listen to a tenant that is always upset about nothing.My experience has been swell.I lived in an upstairs apt that faced the sun, too hot in the summer and too cold in some rooms in the winter. I contacted my Apartment Mgr and informed her that the amount that I am paying for electric due to being placed upstairs and facing the sun was too much for me and I needed to move to another apt within the complex or I would consider breaking my lease due to the size of the a/c unit is not compatible to the apt size with vaulted ceilings.I was moved to a downstairs apt and loving it.Try to make a good situation out of a bad one.Great community.Great People. |

| Recent Review: | | I lived there from 2003-2004 and the management has no concerns for their tenants. They have your cars towed, there was a fight with blood all over my door and in front of my apt while I was working and they got mad because I asked to clean it up after leaving it for 2 days. It was awful. Two tenants moved after apartments were broken into and attempted break in. Office help has nasty attitudes.Potholes are awful, gate hardly ever worked to get in or out of complex. Run....they put on a big smile to get you but then once you sign that lease it is a nightmare. |

| Recent Review: | | This place is a DUMP...There are exposed wires, rottem wood dog poop all over the placeLarge holes in the structure, decaying "landscaping".Toxic mold INSIDE apartments that the management called 'dirt" until I took it to a mold lab.Cockroaches GALORE in the units that have entered through the OUTSIDE of the building.Security is a JOKE!There is a "pedestrian gate"that doesn't even have a lock on it.There are rusted out stair supports under the stairs.Paint is peeling off the buildings.The wood on most f the building is rotten and falling off .The wood on my balcony is decayed and feels like a sponge.I have calledthe MAYOR'S OFFICE to get something done..Management is a JOKE!MaintenAnce,,, what maintenace?There is ONE dumpster for 200 units!THIS IS WHY ROACHES CALL BENT OAKS **HOME** |

| Recent Review: | | I've rented several apts throughout my time in Dallas but consider the Bluffs of Lakewood my best so far. I was sad to leave my apartment but due to employment in another city I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed living at The Bluffs of Lakewood.I love the White Rock Lake area and wanted to find a nice decent apartment.Wow!What luck in finding a nice affordable apartment...and a washer/dryer that's provided?.....I just had to check it out!My move in experience went pretty smooth.They really were there to make sure I was happy with the apartment I selected.Maintenance issues were expedited and normally were taken care of within 1 or 2 days.The management and maintenance were courteous and always cheerful.Every aspect of my residency at the Bluffs has been a pleasurable one because of the professionalism, efficiency, and caring attitude of each and every staff member.I can say with experience that the Bluffs staff rates NUMBER ONE in every category of professional property operations.I can only hope that my next apartment staff can live up to the expectations that the Bluffs staff have set forth. |

| Recent Review: | | Originally it was a nice and well maintained property. Not just anyone could live here. Then they started letting anyone and everyone move in, and crime became a serious problem. My car was broken into (and numerous others), someone tried to break into our apartment while my husband was at home, and a woman was mugged by the mail boxes. We called the police and tried to help her. If you do already live there, just call 911 for any serious problems, because Crime Strike is a joke. Unless of course, you're just having them tell the neighbors to keep it down. Then it only takes them a couple of hours.We would routinely hear gun shots at night from the Park Lane area, and my husband witnessed a shooting in the parking lot behind Best Buy that backs up to Glen Lakes. Luckily, they were just trying to scare the girl (who was also a resident at Glen Lakes), and she wasn't hurt.The apartments themselves are pretty noisy if you live on the ground floor. You can hear everyone who walks around, the music they listen to, their alarm clocks going off as well as other things that I'll refrain from mentioning. You can also smell what they're cooking for dinner, which could be a bonus.We found out that people who were just moving in, were paying about $300 less a month than people who had been there for years.If you do decide to live there, or already do live there, and you're living on the ground floor, below a vacant apartment, and you hear someone walking around at 3am, it's probably just the homeless crackheads from Park Lane that have broken in, and are living there and trashing the apartment. |

| Recent Review: | | This apartment has been a joke since I moved in. The first week we moved here there was a police chase through the complex and since then I have not felt safe. Last week a 15 year old was shot just outside the gates. Just because the police are always at the complex doesn't mean it is safe.The office staff is the rudest that I have seen in all my years in apartments. They get you to sign the lease and then they don't give you the time of day. Maintainance is ridiculous too. My closet door has been off track since the second day that I moved in. They keep coming to put it on track but won't actually fix the track so that the door won't fall off. Numerous complaints have been filed to no avail. Other problems: the ice maker doesn't work, the dishwasher broke, there are wasps on the balcony of all the apartments that are never killed, there is no water pressure in the master bathroom, and many more. When I went to the office to pay my pet deposit they told me it was $600 because I had new carpet. If the carpet was old it would have been only $300. I have never paid more than $300 anywhere else, new carpet or not for a housetrained dog!! The security gates are a joke too. People just line up behind you to get in so the "security" is a joke. They are more of a pain when they are broken and you have to go all the way around the complex to get out! And last but not least I have not had a phone in months because the only provider they have is Grande Commmunications and they are not very cost effective or nice. I am just upset overall and can't wait to leave!! |
