| Recent Review: | | The complex is built almost like a castle, with the swimming pool located in the center of a courtyard. The building is old, and if you like charming old properties, you will like it. THere are plants everywhere, and the pool is generally kept immaculate at all times. Those are the good points. Now for the bad:Management will never fix anything ever. EVER. Just be prepared to either wait a long time or to fix it yourself. You will be blamed for anything that goes wrong in the apartment, like doors not hung properly, leaks in plumbing, etc. Management is not entirely trustworthy, but if you know this going in, and assume she's lying, you will be fine.Your neighbors will be g*y, strange, or both. They will alternate between asking you if you know where to get any w**d to yelling at you for being loud. Often in the same night.The neighborhood is a lot more high-crime than it looks. Expect your car to get broken into every time the security gate breaks, which is about every other week.Once the heat broke for a week in December. Management's solution: bake a pie. That's right, bake a pie. My A/C was out for weeks, and they never did anything about it. This place is good if you're looking for a cheap apartment that you can paint or remodel at will. Otherwise, look farther up Cedar Springs and get more for your money. |

| Recent Review: | | Not the best apartments in the world, but I knew that going in.I wanted to move out on July 31 and had to submit a 60 day notice.I showed up June 2 and they wouldn't acept it until July 1 and wanted me to pay an extra months rent.I was locked into the lease, but they could have made a concession because I was one day late.They don't care about the residents and the speed bump are terrible, parking spaces are to small. |

| Recent Review: | | I have lived in Centerpoint for almost 8 mnths and 2 months ago I made them aware of a problem with the ceiling in the bathroom. There was mold on it and it was falling down. They said that they had fixed the problem with the pipes when we moved in and thats how it was when we moved in. Im not an incompetent person and it was falling down considerably since we had moved in and I knew that that wasnt the case. Also since we have lived here my allergy problems have acted up worse than ever, but when I'm not at home I don't have problems. For the past 2 weeks I have been throwing up *more mold growing on ceiling now* and was so dehydrated and sick that I lost 8 lbs in a week. So I contacted them again about the problem with the ceiling in the bathroom and since I have been because of it they finally decided to have Kiwi Cleaning Services come out here to clean the air ducts (since they were convinced there was not a water leak). When Kiwi opened the air vents he said "Oh my God this is bad you do have a water leak, need your filters changed, and have mold and trash up here". So he immediatly started cleaning the trash and mold out. After they left my fiances mother called the apartment complex to see what the Kiwi services let them know. She was told that we are living in unsafe conditions because there were cat feces and urine all over the place and thats why I have been sick. I am a very clean and neat person and my cats are over a year old and have not had an accident since they were kittens (only because my girl cat was to small to get in the litter box). Also if you like being respected by your property owners this is the wrong place for that!!! Like all the rest of the comments the women in the office seem to just be in it for the money! I DONT NOT RECOMEND THIS APARTMENT TO ANYONE!!!! |

| Recent Review: | | A prime location, great views, reasonable rent...and absentee management, archaic appliances, a filthy pool, the world's most incompetent maintenance, loud neighbors who like to sit in the swill-pit jacuzzi and shout at each other till all hours of the night, and smart-mouth sassy-pants to deal with if you dare complain to the office (which ismiles away).The grounds are never cleaned,the trash overflows, the mechanical and electrical rooms are frequently left open, the units are only cable ready in the living room, and if anything breaks, which it will, you better know how to fix it yourself.When we viewed are make-ready we compiled a two page list of major damage that needed repairing (holes in doors, black streaks on walls, cabinet doors missing) none of which was repaired when we moved in several weeks later.They are also engaged in a poorly disguised effort to sell the building right out from under us...move somewhere that you won't want to pack up and move out again tomorrow. |

| Recent Review: | | I moved here from out of state.Everyone told me that the Village was the place to live for young professionals.I found that to be not true.I found myself living among college students.The management was ok.The maintenance was good, but I wouldn't recommend that anyone concerned about safety live here.Every month I lived here in 2003-2004 I found notices to residents about car break-ins, burglaries, etc. I even witnessed a car break-in outside my apartment, which I reported to the police.No notice went out to the residents.Makes me wonder how many crimes go on that are not published to the residents.And speaking of the patrol, where were they when this crime happened? |

| Recent Review: | | Great place to live, especially if you are a UTD student (much better than Waterview). Staff if friendly, maintenance is quick to respond, and the grounds are well kept. It is also very quiet, tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Free covered parking too. Look and lease special cuts the price down significantly. |

| Recent Review: | | I moved here a couple of years ago and since then the management and office staff has had 100% turnover.The former manager lived on the premises and kept this place fine-tuned to the nth degree.The current office staff does not live here and it appears that their goal is to simply FILL-UP the place.Moreover, it has become a haven for illegal aliens who work in the office, make up the maintenance crew, and sit outside on the once groomed and manicured landscape and sip beers while speaking ONLY spanish.When I would make maintenance requests, Tina, the recent office manager, smiles, grins, nods her head in affirmation,and did NOTHING.I had to move. I had to. |

| Recent Review: | | i lived on the first floor...i truly believe that it was unfaire that the bugs weren't paying rent with me, because there were there 24/7, more and more every day, while i was there first everyday then only at nights. i was told by my neighbors that 3 people broke their lease before i moved to that apt....also, keep in mind that there is no landscaping whatsoever, and if you happen to live by the tennis court, be certain that you'll never be able to take a nap during the day or even sleep in on the weekend. the tennis court is also used as the kids playground!! very noisy.i was very anxious to end my lease .i moved out as soon as it did. i dont advice you to move in there. |

| Recent Review: | | Don't stop here! I lived in this apt. complex from Oct. 2001- June 2002 because I got married. During the course of time we went thru 3 managers--all that said they were going to fix the maintenance issues (dirty vents, scuffed walls, windows in bedroom couldn't be opened, rusty shower plates, ants, and so on...). We had to really fight to get these things to happen, and had to deal with noisy neighbors as well. We moved as soon as the lease was up. I never expected to hear from them again. Then suddenly in March 2003 I got a call from a collections agency. Devonshire had accused me of owing rent for my last 1 1/2 months there!!! Me, the person that always paid early! I had to pay to get copies of my bank statements, an then find the check numbers and have them print them off. The apartment complex refused to accept this as proof!!! They insisted that they had to go into their attic and find the records for that time. That took an entire week!!! Then they absolutely refused to give me any sort of written apology after putting me thru all that. This was an awful place to live, has awful management, and they have no customer service skills. |
