| Recent Review: |  | After reading the review that mentioned a collection being filed erroneously against a tenent, I felt the need to share our story.First of all, let me make it clear that neither I nor my husband has ever lived here.In fact, we've never even BEEN to Dallas.We've lived in Galveston for the past 10 years.Unfortunately, however, we are negatively connected with Devonshire Apartments.Let me explain how:Last week my husband received a notice in the mail that denied him credit based on a collection filed against him.After receiving a copy of his credit report & much investigation, it appears as though Devonshire Apartments leased an apartment to a person by the name of XXXXXXThis name is not even close to my husband's.Apparently, however, Mr. XXX used my husband's SSN to obtain a lease agreement with Devonshire.Mr. XXX defaulted on his lease & the collection agency now wants $2,700 from my husband.I have several concerns about this complex:1. Why would you lease an apartment to someone whose name does NOT match a SSN in a credit check??2. If this is typographical error, what does this say about the qualified personnell that work at Devonshire Apt's?3. If Mr. XXX was a criminal living at Devonshire Apt's, I'm curious to know the caliber of the rest of the neighbors that reside here.4. When I called Devonshire on May 28, 2005 - I was told to call back during the weekday because they were undergoing new management & that they would have the information I needed by then.(Undergoing management change seems to be a common practice here - not a good sign).I am certainly not impressed.This has wreaked havoc on my husband's credit.We are having to file fraud reports in two separate jurisdictions (Galveston & Dallas), notify creditors, notify the credit companies, notify our banks, etc.I am faxing, calling, and dealing with this mess & it all could have been avoided if Devonshire Apartments had matched the SSN to the name on the report that they received for Mr. XXX - it wouldn't have even come close!I cannot thank Devonshire enough for this immeasurable mess!Inept, irresponsible, careless.If this is how they run their business, I cannot even imagine giving them my money to live here!To be fair, I cannot comment on appearance, parking, maintenance, etc., having not lived here-so I gave a 3.I'm curious to see how quick Devonshire will be to respond to our request to fix this problem:June 2: Spoke with Angie at Devonshire, who told me to call Colonial Mgmt., the former management company of Devonshire. Was pleasant and apologetic, but not quite sure what to do.Said the property manager was out & not sure when she would return.June 2: Spoke with Sandra (nice lady!) who directed me to Regional VP, Michelle.June 2: Spoke with Patricia who directed me to Landmark Residential, said Landmark now owns Devonshire.(will keep you updated...) |

| Recent Review: |  | Eagle Creek sits next to its sister property, City Limits, on the Dallas bus line near Midwway and the George Bush. The grounds are well-kept and maintenance is quick and proficient. The high-handed management has been a constant problem. They seem to care nothing for the residents, only the owners. If you are willing to be treated like an idiot to live in a convient location, Eagle Creek amy be the place for you. |

| Recent Review: |  | Estancia Townhomes is a fantastic place to live....Pros:- Nice interior w/ hw floors, gray trim, modern fixtures, s.steel appliances- Tons of closet space, large bedrooms, large 2-car garage- Quiet neighborhood and well-kept grounds- Management is accommodating and maintenance is quick- Convenient access to Tollway and Addison restaurants- Walk across the street to Studio Movie Grill- Nice mailroom- Friendly neighborhood- GatedCons:- Limited parking for guests- Some floorplans have small livingroom and kitchen- Possible construction of old Prestonwood Mall- Small hot water heater |

| Recent Review: |  | Almost everything is good about these apartments good neighborhood not alot of trffice or noise safe. they have all the ammenities that a person could ever want nice price cheapyou geta fire place, microwave, fullsize washer and dryer with your very own laundry room in every apt. reserved covered parking icemaker ceiling fans storage area. i have a 2bdrm 1bath pay only $499 a mo. the only thing that sucks is there water system i have be living here for about 8mo. at least once every 2mo.sthere is something wrong with the water the hot water or no water. and they can never tell you whaen its going to work. and the maintance sucks to they never fix anything in a timely matter. |

| Recent Review: |  | I have lived here for two years.During that time, my neighbors have had their apartments broken into, their cars broken into and vandalized.And the office could not care less.The kicker is that one known thief/car vandal is living here and the current management will not take action because he is friends with the manager!!!We have several residents living in fear.DO NOT MOVE INTO THE FAIRWAYS!!!!! |

| Recent Review: |  | Been here six months, was initially worried about bad reviews I read here and on other sites, but so far it has been better than hoped for.I haven't heard a signle peep out of our neighbors; the management have been great and the facilities are fine.Noise level in any apt complex is dependent on a number of factors, not always controllable by management, eg:- neighbors- proximity to street & nearby bars- proximity to high traffic areas eg. leisure centers, swimming pools, elevators- proximity to service areas eg. trash chute, automatic gates for car parks, trash compactors, external plumbing etc.It is up to INDIVIDUALS to check these out before moving in - as the old property adage goes...location location location! |

| Recent Review: |  | The apartment unit itself is not too bad, but the noise level from the Manhattun Bar across the street is bad.Also, the guess entrance in the front of the building, lead you to very dirty stairs and garbage dump.The company dicided recently to turnour original nice entrance lobby to a leasing office.The tenants have no access to this leasing office after office hour.If you invite someone to your apartment, they have to walk through the garbage dump (very dirty area) and the parking area to get to the elevator.The hallway is dirty, the stairs are filty.I don't recommend this place. |

| Recent Review: |  | Been living here almost 8 months and so far no complaints. Staff has been very helpful, when complained about some minor repair work, maintenance was sent out and completed that day. However, disposal was broken and said they would order one for us. It took a follow up phone call about two weeks later to get them back to install new disposal. Have seen a couple break-ins to cars, but this was expected by choosing this area of town to live. The area is loud yes, but i work 8-5 everyday and have never had any problems, including living next door to college kids that always apologize about being loud. I have never even heard them being loud even though my bedroom is right next to them. When evaluating all factors this is a great place with a great value...so far. |
