| Recent Review: | | The apartment buildings are beautiful inside and out.I have been here since Sept. 03.I have not had a pest control problem, probably because everyone in my building unit is clean.However, a friend mind lived in a different unit and it was roach city.My problems would be that the walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors are saying, hearing and DOING.Maintenance does take some time to getting the job done right.I don't like the fact that the maintenance workers come in your apartment without leaving you a notice that they were in there, until you find out that things repositioned.And for those that are living on the first floor be prepared to hear the stompings of the neighbor upstairs and if they have kids it's worse!Wait until your neighbors have a party.The work out facility is nice as long as you are able to workout before 5 p.m. because due to uncontrolled juveniles and vandalism the facility is in lockdown mode for everyone in the evening, so expect to keep your holiday weight until you get sunny days outside to walk outside.The pool area...well let me just say that everyone and their aunts, uncles, cousins and neighbors kids come and swim for free and fill up the pool.I live here and I have yet to be able to swim because it is always full.When Phyliss was working at the apartments she did nothing to improve situations, she was rude and along with another staff personnel who name I have forgotten.However, new management seems to be very professional and nice.Overall if you live a busy life and need a place to sleep this is the place for you.If you are homebound person, have kids that like to run around and don't mind that others can hear you through the walls, this is the place for you.If you like to workout before 5pm, then this is the place for you.If you don't mind sharing the pool with your neighbors a trillon relatives...this is the place for you.If you don't mind kids playing in the mind of the parking lot hitting your car with footballs or being disrespectful to you when you pass by them... then come live hear!If you don't like any of the above then you might have better luck elsewhere. |

| Recent Review: | | I have read others reviews which made me write.I realize their notes are previous towhen I moved inOcotber 2004, but I believe it is a great place to stay. True I have had my share of problems here. It is true I have put my rent in the rent box and came home to a note saying I haven't paid. Yes, I had to call back and give a couple of days and they stated they found it. Of course that made me upset because who wants to have that happen. When I moved in yes they had to spray. But since then I have had no problems. True, you cannot work out after 5:30. True we only have one pool. I have not tried yet tried to go swimming. Yes, the walls are thin. Butevery now and again I can hear and that is when my aparmtent is dead silent! Come on people, some things we complain about is things we could have inquired on before we signed a lease such as the workout room. Iam a young adult and am single. I love it here for the fact it is quiet, peaceful. I am located close to a college, shopping areas and highways. One thing I truly hated was that they towed my car. They did not contact me to tell me what was wrong or give any notice. Overall, I enjoy my apartment. It is quiet for me and very nice place to stay. I have had my little things to go wrong but it is an apartment and some things just come with it. |

| Recent Review: | | This place in a roach infested nightmare!Don't believe me, check out other websites and read for yourself.The property managers are a complete joke.The so called spa is never working.Maintance is a joke.The parking situation is a nightmare.You have to reserve a space to park if you want to make sure you will have a place to park and even then you might have your car towed!This is by far the worst experience I have ever had.Please look elsewhere when looking for a place to live! |

| Recent Review: | | This complex definately went downhill after AMLI sold the property in August 2004.As stated in other reviews, there is a lot of loud noise and run-down/broken down cars.Parking can be a problem if you want to park in covered.They charge to reserve a parking spot and they do not enforce the covered parking policies.I see a lot of cars parked in covered parking (non-reserved) that do not have a parking sticker.Since the transistion, I have seen a lot of questionable people move into the community and the grounds are not kept neat and clean.Pools are now closed for unknown reasons.Word has it that the management company that took over Nantucket also manages properties in Oak Cliff and S. Dallas if that tells you anything.This used to be a quiet, peaceful, beautiful community but it is no longer.The only good thing I can say is that the rental prices are inexpensive.But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. |

| Recent Review: | | The people at Oakwood are great!When I moved into my apartment I had driven for 6 hours with a U-Haul and got in very late.They had bottled water and cold pop in my refrigerator with a welcome note.The atmosphere surrounding the apartments is very tranquail.It's beautiful and my neighbors are also very friendly people. |

| Recent Review: | | This apartment building is in a bad area of town, and is falling apart.But what makes the place completely unlivable is the management team.They do not care about the residents, and they make a lot of mistakes regarding rent paid, deposit amount, etc.I actually had to sue them to get my deposit back after I left. |

| Recent Review: | | I have lived here for a while now and I absolutely hate it.This is the noisiest apartment complex I have ever lived at.Of course we do live right beside George Bush tollway.The residents are loud and the INSULATION IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!I can hear my neighbors talking when I turn my TV off.This is the first apartment complex that I have lived in that doesn't have a list of Community Rules.Maybe I have just been fortunate not to have problems at my previous homes.I don't feel safe coming home late at night. I know that one of my neighbors a while back said the he had just got out of jail so either he was lying or they don't do criminal checks anymore.We have controlled access gates that are always broken so they are usually open.Also, dog owners let their dogs run loose at night.Most of the owners don't pick up after their dogs. I have seen Rottweilers and Pitt Bulls even though we are not supposed to have them.Apparently management has no way of checking this.We do have new management now, so hopefully things will improve.Already they have repainted everything and made sure all of the outside lighting is working.Unfortunately I can not afford to move, as the rent is very affordable. |

| Recent Review: | | I just moved here about two months ago and I love it. The landscaping is beautiful, they even have a manmade creek going threw the center of the complex with several fountains and a pond on it. There are trees everywhere. The inside of my apartment is beautifal,and very classy,they even gave free cable. overall I love it here. |

| Recent Review: | | Parking is horrible, don't plan on having friends over because they're are only a handful of visitor spaces, and if they park on the street, they'll get tickets.The noise is ridiculous, you can hear everything your neighbors do, say, or listen to.You will never find the same person working in the front office, and out of the 4 that have worked here since I moved in, 2 have been nice, and 2 have been completely rude. |
