| Recent Review: | | Well Del Rio doesn't have a lot to offer by way of living...Las Villas is probably one of the best places to live as far as townhomes/apartments go.The complaints I have are that the backyards look like crap.The fences are falling apart and the lawns (only in back) are very rarely mowed.We have not set foot in our backyard due to grass so long I could get lost in it, and fire ant mounds.The management is pretty lame also.They have to be bothered repeatedly in order to get a problem taken care of; either that or it's never taken care of.There are also a lot of weird bugs around here...I realize that's at no fault of the management, but it's still gross...maybe it's Texas thing, I don't know.We have found cockroaches many times in our home, not to mention little lizards and those little rolly polly bugs.This is not because I can't keep my place clean, it's just a problem around here.At one point there were at least 14 paper wasp nests going up outside under our eaves and overhangs.I had to call management three times before they took care of the problem.Gross.The good things are that the front lawns are always mowed and maintained very nicely, there is a lot of living space inside the townhome.I like that fact that there are two and half bathrooms.I also like that the entire first floor is tile because it's a lot easier to keep clean.The parking is also great.There are two spots right in front of you home and there is also street parking.The neighborhood is very quiet and, as far as I know, there isn't a crime problem. Overall, if you are moving to Del Rio, I would recommend living here just because there is no where else halfway decent to live...unless you are in the military and can live on base.It is a good place to live if it's just temporary.OH, also, cable is free here...another perk. |
