Recent Review:It has low rent for inside the loop...however, if you don't mind your water being orange (rusty) and having to let it run for a few seconds before it clears up...plus the a/c in my unit sounded like a helicopter was landing everytime it came on (loud enough to need to turn the tv volume up everytime). It was fine for cheap rent and location.

Recent Review:When I applied to live here, the management staff seemed to be very caring and helpful. They worked really hard to get me in because the price range was a little higher than I was comfortable with. With the move-in specials, and my prefered employer discount, I got a great deal.On the day of my move in, my apartment had not been through "make ready." The air vents were in my dish washer, and I had to find and install the door seal for my front door. There was also an old tamale in my hot refridgerator. When I toldmanagement of the problem, they said "oops, we wrote the wrong move in day on the maintinence list." and never offered to send someone over to install the vents or door seal. The security gates are often broken and left wide open. This seems to happen once to twice a week without exception. The Apartments themselves are well built, though mine has an akward pantry. (hard to see the back of the very large/deep wood shelves).Any time I needed maintinence, they were there promptly, and repaired the problems quickly. When it came time to renew my lease after a year, I requested my lease renewal information 2 weeks ahead of their normal schedule. After 4 days of checking with the office, I was informed (by the same leasing agent that worked so hard to get me into the apartment in the first place) that they intended to raise my rent by $65.00! I told them that I could not afford such a drastic increase, and they quickly stated that "If you sign another year right now, we'll keep you at the same rate."(After such a hassle getting the information in the first place, I informed them that I wanted to look around since they decided to play games with me.)I received a letter in the mail a week later stating that they were going to raise my rent by $80.00.When I confronted the leasing agent again, and asked why they told me $65.00 increase, and then $80.00 in writing, she had no good excuse.I told her that I had been offered a larger, brand new apartment for less than I was currently paying here, she informed me that I was paying more here for a better apartment, which included crown molding.I do not have crown molding in my apartment. Why would a leasing agent want me to pay more for non-existing features?I have found nothing but complete incompetence in the office staff since my lease renewal became an issue.Needless to say, they have lost a resident for good.

Recent Review:As far as apartment complexes go, this one is nice ... unless you want to be able to have a human being with some sort of competency and maybe even compassion help you out when something goes wrong. When you show up to look, try not to be overwhelmed by the wave of love you receive - it ends as soon as they have your money. Then they forget your name.A few examples ...In June, after living there and paying rent on time for nearly three years, I accidentally wrote the month July on my check. This was inside an envelope with my roommate's June rent check (dated correctly) and personally handed to someone in the office on June 1st.Because my check was dated July, however, they "filed it in the July folder" and the only way I eventually learned of this was the eviction notice posted on my door a few days later.Granted, I made the mistake on the date, but it's apparently too much to ask for them to employ someone with common sense and the decency to follow up on such a strange occurrence from an excellent resident. Now that my lease has run out, I've moved to Pennsylvania. Not an easy move to make and interestingly enough one of the hardest things I've dealt with is giving away the furniture that I can't take with me.Twice I've set up people to come and take it so that it can be donated to someone who needs it and twice it's fallen through. Now, I know that if things are left inside the apartment, they're donated to charity. My former roommate talked to the office, explained the situation, and was told that the fee for them doing this would take our entire deposit. After my calls, I know that if you are able to have someone there to meet them, there are several organizations that will pick things up for free.Just how much do they expect to charge us for someone to go and unlock the door?Thiefs.

Recent Review:Place has gone downhill in less than 4 years!Potholes everywhere, rotted wood on the buildings, poorly maintained pools, poor landscape (unless you like dirt instead of grass), wild cats live all over, unkempt sidewalks (landscapers do not clear away grass trimmings), hideous orange doors w/ green awnings (unless you like your door looking like a pumpkin).

Security has gone from 5 PM - 5 AM, to cutting out Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur & Sunday...now we're lucky if they show up on Friday & Saturdays before 9:00 PM.They are non existent and when they are usually dont bother to move from their shack!

Good luck getting management to respond to your call or maintenance request.

Total shame the place has turned to a dump.Shootings & prostitute ring busts happen here!

Recent Review:When I first moved in, the management was very accomodating and flexible and very very pet friendly.Since then, the management has changed and they are doing everything in their power to make the current tenants with dogs feel as unwelcome as possible including making frivolous rules concerning dogs. Moreover, the apartment flooded 3 years ago however, the managment informs future tenants that the apartment has not flooded since the 70s.The management is also very contradictory on what it will and will not charge for.GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!I have lived here for almost a year and they still have not programmed the keyless entry into the complex. They are very slow to respond to requests. It is in a good location however, the management is not very friendly.I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before renting from Tree Tops.

Recent Review:I lived at Turtle Pointe in 2000 to 2001, I had a townhome and it was not too bad for me. Management did not bother me, and I had a dog there when I was not supposed to, they never said anything. I lived there a little over a year until a bunch of oriental people moved in and they were constantly screaming and yelling all of the time. From 7 am to 10 pm. They rented apts right next door to each other and always ran back and forth....slamming doors and yelling. Then we had some "hommies" move in and they jacked their radio uo all the time. The only issue I had was the pool was beautiful, but the parties that would go on at night...(even though they were not loud) would leave the pool in disorder. Cigarette butts and beer cans. Yuk. The management would clean it though. Other than that, I had no issues. It was not too bad!

Recent Review:I've lived on the property for 2 years due to a lease special I committed to. They try to snag you up front with a long term lease, so that by the time you realized the bad deal you bought, the buyout or exit is too high to pay out. You become trapped. The walls are too thin. You can hear anything from music to pots and pans to footsteps. Upon needing service requests from management, I've had to call 2+ times for every service request to ensure the item is taken care of. Corporate offices are not very helpful or responsive either. While the deal may look good, it's not, you pay more from a quality of life perspective: never quiet, unresponsive management and even NO parking on weekends! As the lot fills with people's guests and other randoms. There is animal feces in all the halls and cars have been broken into on this property. It is not safe for a girl to have to walk 1/4 mile to her apartment at times! Oh, and to top it off, there are ants everywhere from in the apartment to outside and the roof has pigeons in it. The roof is water damaged as exhibited by the stains in my closet which makes me think the roof is going to cave in any moment now. Also, management is cheap to replace carpet on move-in despite it's shabbiness, they haggle with you to change it as it's expensive for them.
