Recent Review:First of all these apartments are very small and poorly insulated, I would have the heating on high and it would still be cold, therefore the utility bills were quite high. The worst part of living in this apartment was the Landlord - he is very immature and has a bad temper. On many occassions he has called me and other tennants names and he has even yelled at me.I would highly recommend that you find a different appartment to rent from.
2. Cedar Pointe Condominiums
742 South 400 East

Recent Review:I have enjoyed this apartment very well for the most part.Parking is covered, and somewhat convenient, but it's not right in front of the dwelling as some would prefer.Management is friendly, and willing to help. The kitchen is small, and there is very minimal storage space, but the overall size of the place is very comfortable.Maintainence is a little slow, but is taken care of without much hassle. The buildings are enclosed, but very quiet for the most part. The only con would be the external part of the building. The entire community is gated, and guarded with security, which is a nice feature, but there is no way of getting into the building from the outside unless you call the resident. Not everyone carries a cell phone, so it's inconvenient to walk around (I currently live on the opposite side of the entrance).

Recent Review:The management is the worst, the apartments are overpriced and for how new the place is it is surprisingly rundown.

Recent Review:Could have been a nice place but the walls are paper thin and you have little buffer between you and the units next to you.I am on the ground floor and all the noise from upstairs is killing me because I can hear every step they takeand I can hear the pounding bass notes of rap and hip hop coming from the radio every living day I've been there, and it's almost a year now.Praise be to God that I'll be able to leave soon.My advise to you, don't take more than a 6 month lease, and for your sanity, don't move into #19H.The parking situation is pretty bad, you'll be ok if you only have 1 car, that would be assigned a carport but your 2nd car will have some trouble finding a spot, not to mention anyone who may be visiting you.Really nice indoor pool though, and gym is really small for the number of people living there.
6. Irving School House
1155 East 2100 South
Salt Lake City  UT, 84106

Recent Review:My apartment experience at Irving School House is good overall. The price is high but you do have access to several nice amenities such as a club house, pool, jaccuzi, racket ball courts, basket ball courts, copy machine, fax, 1 covered parking space. A few minimal annoyances include additional parking is hard to come by; strict rules about patio furniture; pricey monthly pet rent; annual rental rate increase and untimely maintenance of hall way (often wind-blown leaves and trash remain in common area until residences complain). The location is convienient in central Sugar House close to shopping, the high way and parks. I would reccommend this community to those who will take advantage of all the amenities offered.

Recent Review:If you want a classy-looking place with a great location for the Gateway Mall, Trax, the Delta Center, and freeway access, this is the place. But don't let it fool you.The biggest disappointment was the level of tenants. Garbage in the hallways, the smell of marijuana, riding mountain bikes in the hallways, loud parties at 3 am, constant vandalism of facilities, fire alarms at 2 am, and a mailroom with a perpetual litter problem. I think this said more about the Utah kids living away from home for the first time than it did about the staff. They tried really hard to keep it classy. They just felt the need to fill up more than they felt the need to check references. Also, for some reason the city seems to a vandetta against the developer. Parking enforcement is overzealous. Tenants complained of getting parking tickets for $50 while they dropped their rent off at the office. Tenants' cars got towed on a daily basis. This drove off a lot of tenants and customers from the Gateway mall.On the expensive side. For the price, you can buy a decent home with better neighbors.
9. Park Capitol

Recent Review:these apartments claim to be dog friendly. the people in these apartments are the most unfriendly people i have ever had the mis-fortune to live near. if your dog for example sees another dog and tries to play with it, expect a warning from the unfriendliest office staff you?ll ever meet. they make you feel like your putting them out if you need to collect a mail package from theoffice.parking spots are used by guests and your left to go find a spot on the street.
10. Santa Fe Apartments
1550 East Fort Union Blvd
Salt Lake City  UT, 84121

Recent Review:I never really had much of a problem at Santa Fe.However, my husband and I tried to avoid anyone in a position of management. Our dishwasher had some off and on problems with the plumbing, and instead of calling management, we decided to just deal with the problem. They always seemed very offstandish, and it seemed easier to avoid dealing with them.By the way, we lived there from April 2004 till June 2004.I guess this was after the new management took over, so I never knew this fabulous side of Santa Fe.I loved the location. There is everything you could possibly want within a short distance. It is a beautiful landscaping job for an apartment, and the apartments are nice.Of course, we had a remodeled model.Very nice! I highly recommend those models.I don't know, I really liked them.I would just make sure to stay unnoticed.I heard all sorts of stories from our neighbors about how terrible the management treated them.
