| Recent Review: |  | I have a terrible experience at Rosehill.I can not wait until the end of my lease.I stayed here for one lease term and will not be renewing.I will give you an honest opinion about my experience b/c I wish I would have been given this information when I moved here.I move frequently because of my job and have lived in a number of states and honestly, I have not been more disapointed in an apartment complex.I am not a high maintenance person but I do believe in customer service and professionalism.TENANTS: The other tenants are quiet and respectful and I have had a good experience with my neighborsMANAGEMENT:The management of the company is unprofessional and has poor customer service. I am not the only tenant who has had a bad experience --many people leave the apartments dissatisfied and disapointed.MOVEOUT: In fact, most of my friends have moved from here and have reported absurd move out procedures and unnecessary charges upon move out---$20 if you have a light bulb out, $40 if you did not clean the bathroom mirror, $60 if your ice tray is missing, $60 if you did not clean your blinds, $80 if you did not vacuum and STEAM Clean your carpet.It seems ludicrous--but don't take my word for it. Ask to see a move out form (with the expenses) before you agree to sign a lease there.Of course I make sure that my apartment is clean whenever I move out but those charges are just absurd.I could not help laughing when my friends who moved showed me Rosehill's form.SERVICE: The managment makes no effort to keep tenants happy with even basic services like prompt responses to maintenance calls.Although the maintenance men at the complex are nice, there is only one or two of them to respond to service calls so it is inevitable that you will wait a lengthy period of time to get items fixed.PETS AND MAINTENANCE: To their credit, they are pet friendly. However, when you call maintenance they ask that you lock up your pet.At least twice, the maintenance man was scheduled to come fix a problem in my apartment so I locked up my pet the ENTIRE day that I was at work so that he could do the work.When I returned home, the work still had not been done and of course, my pet was not happy to have to stay locked up in one room all day while I was at work.If they were unable to do the work, I could have made a trip home to let my pet out but all they had to do was call to let me know that it could not be done on the scheduled day.MANAGEMENT DISORGANIZATION: The complex has an extremely high staff turnover rate. Make sure you document everything and follow up with them because when something comes up they will tell you that they don't have the paperwork or don't have x, y, z although you spoke to someone in the office who said they were taking care of it--and of course that person is no longer working there so they can't verify or find what the person did.EARLY CLOSING: The staff also leaves before the scheduled office closing hours--I have gone there as early as 15 minutes before closing and they the door is locked.This is a common occurrence.And most of them live on the premises so there is no reason for them to have to lock the door early.LACK OF CURTESY: On one day that they did close on time, I called to tell them that I needed to pick up a package and I was two blocks away from the office.I was driving on Franconia and Vandorn which is only a few minutes away.I told them I had a fedex package with medicine that had been delivered to the office that I needed before they closed.They said that they could not even keep the office open a second after the closing time (despite the fact that they often leave before closing) "because if they did it for me then they'd have to do it for everyone."I got there ONE minute after closing and they would not open the door.SERVICE: Another example,I have had my water turned off a number of times within a few months for a couple of hours and did not receive a warning, notice, or phone call that they would be turning off the service (for whatever reason) although the office new ahead of time that it would be turned off.TRASH/ENVIRONMENT: Although the grounds themselves are usually clean, especially the lawns But the trash dumpsters are often overflowing. There are two dumpsters in each trash area and they both are usually full and items-- trash bags, furniture, mattresses, water heaters, pipes, dishwashers (obviously this stuff was put there by management not the tenants) can be found strewn around both of them.SECURITY:I can say I did not have any security problems.I felt fairly safe. I would have them check your mailbox key. I wasn't paying attention one day (talking on my cell phone and trying to retrieve my mail) and I accidentally opened the wrong box--my key opened another tenants mailbox!It was a mistake so I put the mail back and opened my own box. The numbers on the mail boxs are engraved not printed so you really do have to pay attention to the box you're opening--but who would think that some of the boxes have the same key.Rent at your own risk. |

| Recent Review: |  | The good thing is, the rental office staff are the nicest people I've ever met. ALL of them.Especially the leasing assistants.But the good times stop there!The place is infested with rats and roaches which is mainly because a majority of the residents just don't give a care.Trash is supposed to be taken to the trash room in the basement.Those who actually take it there and not leave it in the hall, just leave it at the door or throw it in the room with untied bags.The trash room is located inside the laundry room so doing laundry sometimes is unbearable because of the smell.The residents leave food and other trash in the halls, in front of the building, in the parking lot, on the grass and any place else you can think of.Kids run around, sit on your car, play on your car and aren't told by parents that this is inappropriate behavior.And parking is terrible.If you don't get a guest pass through the week from the rental office, you can't get one from them on the weekends. They'll send you to the hi-rise where they give them 3 passes for the entire complex, for the entire weekend!!!Imagine that!And of course street parking is taken up by the residents who own 4 and 5 cars when they only drive 2 because the other don't even run!!!This place is terrible!I absolutely hate itand can't wait until my lease ends in the spring.Every month I pay my rent, my motto is one down, 10 to go; one down, 9 to go, etc.Unless you don't mind living in filth, pass this place right on by.It's unfortunate because the apartments are such a good size, designed with separate living and dining room areas, nice closet space and utilities included.I wish someone would buy the property, make them condos and move all the residents who just don't give a care, out!!!If that was the case, I'd stay there forever! |

| Recent Review: |  | I have never seen a rat, or for that matter any bugs (other than the occaisional fly) in my apartment.Sure, there is some noise, but it's a high rise.there is no more noise in this apartment than there is in any other complex of this size.I have never had a problem parking at any time of the day or night.The parking lot is well lit and there is plenty of parking.The complex is as responsive as any I've dealt with.Basically, I think the apartment is a good deal.Certainly, it's not as nice as the ones that are twice the price, but it is also not twice the price. |

| Recent Review: |  | The rent here is high for the quality they provide.I've had mold growing through my cellings in every room and they just wipe it up and told me they fixed the problem.They are quick to fix stuff when it comes to the bathroom or kitchen, but overall, they are not to great.Don't let anything happen either because the rental office will always find a way to tell you it's your fault and blame you or make you pay.The parking lot is usually covered in broken glass.Plus, don't trust anyone to park near you if you have a nice car...It won't be nice for long....I would never rent here again.... |

| Recent Review: |  | my husband and i moved here because as a military couple, it was within our price range.the apartment was advertised as recently renovated...however the bathroom is hideous...there is peeling caulking everywhere, our cabinets are so old we had to sign a lead poison waiver, our kitchen drawer broke the first week we moved in (from silverware) and maintenance took their time fixing it.after they did fix it they told us we couldn't use that drawer for anything.our brand new washer broke, and they lost the work order so instead of taking the standard 7 days to come repair it, it took 8.our airconditioning was not turned on until the last possible moment...it was over 90 degrees in our apartment according to our thermostat.however, some of the buildings (ones where residents own not rent) had their air turned on sooner.a company named EOS has taken over the Alexandria, and i have to say, they are doing the minimal amount of work and charging the maximum people will pay...of course.what is really disappointing though, is how management responds to issues.they do not treat their residents with basic respect and common decency.if you have a problem or a question, be prepared to be talked down to and even hung up on.the apartment complex does have its nice points....the grass is always cut, the pool is usually clean, and there are a lot of amenities that make this property enticing.however, my experience has been extremely unpleasant and i will not be renewing my lease here. |

| Recent Review: |  | I have been in this community for nearly a year and I love it. The apartments are beautiful, very contemporary. The landscaping is immaculate and the staff is top notch. I would recommend this community to anyone who can afford to pay a little more to have the best. This place is the BEST!! |

| Recent Review: |  | Don't ever move here - the maintenance sucks, manangement sucks (although they just hired a new manager), the office people are alright as long as nothing is wrong.There is a high turn over rate - it seems like everytime you go in there, there is a new face.The apartments are tiny (closet space is nonexistent) and very expensive.Trust me - don't waste your hard-earned money on this place.It's a shame to pay all this money and get crap for it. |
