| Recent Review: | | first off your supposed to be a full time student at ODU to live here, but alot of the students in the building i lived in either never went to class or must have got their sleep in the classrooms.. there always seemed to be people drinking and yelling and fighting, every night, things were always ruined the next morning..the walls truely must be made of paper, you can hear everything, esp when people upstairs of you showered or flushed the toilet.. there wasnt enough parking, and the RA's didnt seem to care.. the area was a high crime area... i would take the time and try to find an apartment where people have to work for a living, so it would be quieter and the people would be decent.. |

| Recent Review: | | I lived here less than a year. I broke my lease and lost my deposit to get out of here. I had my car broke into three times, my window busted out, and I was harrased by ny neighbors. They fought every night till 5 am screaming and beating each other up. There were guys just standing out on the street in front of the apartments selling and buying drugs in plain view daily. The staff was friendly enough and very helpful, but the people were nothin but trash and low lifes. The night before I moved, they were shooting outside across the street. What ever you do, do not move here or you'll regret it!!!!! |

| Recent Review: | | these apts. are not that bad if you are seeking a place to live temporarily and not become a lifer. the parking is terrible and decals are just a joke to place on the cars because it's not taken seriously, i mean "tow trucks come randomly if ever".you would need to make sure you come home at 12 noon in order to find decent parking and if you really need to go out, i suggest calling a cab, but hey that's me. the noise pollution is moderate but ridiculous. if you are going to pump your booming system, can you please invest in a legit car system and not your home stereo speakers! please! it's more like buzzing in our ears. the washing machines and dryers are hahaha, a rip off. i had to friggin call up the company that deals with the machines to report my ate up quarters and demand my money back which was aggravating. the walls are paper thin. if you happen to have an intimate moment, keep it on the hush because the slightest moan will be heard and oh my gosh, talk about do i really need to know whether you are on the toilet or about to take a shower? ayyiyi...need i go on? |

| Recent Review: | | For starters, the dorms at ODU are pretty awful.Powhatan apartments are probably the best they have to offer (except for University Village), but Powhatan has it's downfalls too.While it is spacious and the groundspeople keep it very neat and clean, and maintanance takes cares of small repairs promptly, major problems are ignored.A friend of mine is disabled, and her room has mold growing up the walls.Instead of fixing the problem, ODU painted over it.Her roomate was made physically ill by it.Some of the roofs leak.Beds and mattresses are pretty much disgusting...uncomfortable and stained.The bathrooms and rooms are clean however, and many apartments do not have any major problems.But if yours does, don't expect to get it repaired. |

| Recent Review: | | AIMCO was a much better management company-PERIOD. I have problems with my carpet and door. and they refuse to repair either. You can see in my apartment when you come up the stairs because the front door is not on its hinge properly, but Great Atlantic could care less. Mind you I have ridiculous power bills because of loss of hot/cold air. I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE IN MARCH 2005. Do not rent from The Oaks--it is horrible. I wouldn't wish a rat lived at this hell hole. |

| Recent Review: | | Note to all:Do not rent here.Apartments are small and as for complex features there are none.There are constant double standards among tenants by owners and contract contents are always changed.Cars are constantly getting broken into and security measures have not been taken to improve the safety of the tenants.There is a consistent turn over rate of tenants coming and leaving due to dissatisfaction. |
