Recent Review:Long story in short: Prepared to pay atleast around $500 when you vacate. We were resident for a year or so. The issue will arise when you vacate your apt. They will charge you to their liking for cleaning the unit aprt and it goes very high above the initial deposit of $200. i.e. 200+ . even if you clean for a week. The water and sewage will be sky rocketing to atleast 300% (~ $150 to $200) relative to previous months. This happens atleast for the last two months though your water meter reads actual your bill reflect at least 2500 to 3000 units higher and when you call water billing company you will be shuttled between apts and billing company and finally apt office will answer thats how it works when you vacate.

Recent Review:have lived here since 1980 and I do not find this apartment complex a very suitable place for kids, there's no maintenace on the grounds, even when there's an emergency they do not respond to there pager. Bad management. no ones ever in the office half the time. managernever answers the phone when he is there.

Recent Review:Lived here for 6 months.Positives: View to downtown from the top floor of the front building was nice. Convenient living in downtown. Big closets. Heated pool open during summer.Negatives: Extremely high water/sewer bill. Avg $60 /month. Bill is charged to entire complex and then equally divided between the units so it doesn't matter if you try and conserve. Noise from traffic (heard the fire truck everyday!) Noise from neighbors, (music from 1st floor can be heard on the 3rd.) Creaky floors. Don't waste your time cleaning when you vacate, they'll charge you anyway. They'll charge you $50 for carpet cleaning, $90 for general cleaning, and $60 for the final water bill so you won't get any of your $175 deposit back...actually you'll pay more! The one single bad thing is the high water bill. When you add that to the rent, we could've rented a nicer, newer place with w/s included and w/d in the unit.

Recent Review:Great place to live. Beautiful surroundings if you want greenery and a sense of being in the woods. The sound of the 405 breaks the dream but it's worth it to be so close to the intersection of two major freeways; downtown is just 15 minutes away during non-commute time. Apartment management is top notch, very helpful and friendly. Oh, one last thing, it's right across the street from Mercer Slough, a wetland preserve. Great for walks, jogs, or just blissing out. The only reason I don't rank security higher is because a shortage of visitor parking forces many to park on the main street and I've heard that occasionally these have been broken into. Otherwise it's remote and totally safe feeling. There are extra parking spaces available if you want to pay for one.

Recent Review:Run down, over priced, noisy train, drug dealers, SWAT team stand offs, twice we were detained in our unit because the SWAT team was trying to get two felons out, two different occasions, two different apartments; broken doors, gutters, rotting wood, lame management with no backbone, SLUM lord owner sends letters denying that the place is as much of a dump as it is...and this is BELLEVUE, people, NOT TACOMA!Hey, but it's a great location, right at 405 and 520...

Recent Review:I was shown a model unit which looked decent enough and I was in the middle of a divorce and needed immediate housing.I took the place just to be somewhere. The unit I moved into had the same floor plan but in no other way resembled the model unit. The assistant manager will kill you with kindness to get you to move in so that she will get her rental commission and after that you are nothing more to her than a pain in the ass. Because its in her job description she will continue to be nice to your face and in fact,I happened to be there when she was showing one man a unit for rent and she casually flicked a roach off of the counter and continued talking to him about how wonderful the place is.Afterwards she commented to me that she felt so bad renting the place knowing that it was roach infested. She said she could kill the roaches but they just returned because the people in the apartment above were filthy and breeders of the roaches. On an evening I had stopped into the office to complain about my toilet which rocks when you sit on it because the floor beneath is rotten the assistant manager proceeded to tell me all of the woes of her life. Most pointedly, her concern that she would not make it home to her children that evening because she lives far away, had no gas in her car and no money to buy gas.I gave her money for gas and asked her to repay me when she got paid. The next morning she arrived to work with a bag of McDonalds and a super sized cup of coke. The money I loaned her never got mentioned again but she has since hinted blatantly about more money woes.I have complained about a dishwasher which has not worked since I moved in, a toilet that rocks severely, filthy grounds, noise, people parking in my allotted parking space, water so rusty that it makes for brown ice cubes, extremely low water pressure, exorbitant water bills, leaking and sweating single pain windows and sky-high electric bills due to no insulation. The windows sweat so badly that you cannot see through them unless you squeegee them everyday. The parking lot is used by many of the residents here as an auto shop, so count on oily shoes as you enter your apartment. The place has been under various kinds of construction since I moved in and residents are in no way compensated for the inconvenience. Our doors have been replaced, and then painted. Our parking spots have been confiscated for managements use and we are relegated to parking far away from our units and having to walk in a scary neighborhood.None of theamenitiesare available as they are all under construction. And if you happen to be somebody the management doesnt like the looks of they will find a reason why you are not allowed to me.This hasnt happened to me personally its usually Mexicans I see it happen to.Hispanics make up the majority residents here and yet management seems to hold them in contempt. Its funny to them that they cant understand Spanish speakers complaints because then they feel no responsibility for attending to them. They also find it funny that some of the Spanish speakers cant understand English because they can tow their cars and penalize them because they postednotice. Many children live here and Ive seen cars nearly miss hitting a child more than once yet speed bumps seem to constitute an expense management is not interested in.The grounds are downright filthy! On any given day you will watch managers and maintenance people walking obliviously by the same old garbage. They march dutifully around posting all kinds of threats on residents cars because they have expired tabs or are back in parked but pay no heed to their own responsibilities. They are quick to enforce their laws against residents and nowhere to be found when it comes to catering to residents.Police practically camp out here because the crime here is so high.I understand from rumors, a person was even shot to death here by police. Obvious drug sales are the norm here, loud fights and obnoxious noise is just part of the package. If you are of such low income that youre considering living here, you are already on the staffs hate list. They operate with the attitude ofyou get what you pay for.The flyers and pamphlets dont reflect that though.Instead, they lead you to believe youre moving into a quaint and happy little community.Read all fine print before signing any lease at the Palisades.Trust me, if you dont you will be sorry. The lease youll be required to sign essentially waives all of your rights including a right to a jury trial should you have legal problems with the company. The lease promises you nothing but entraps you in many ways.If you find after seeing the true story here that you dont like what you see, youre plain stuck. When you are lucky enough to move out, you will be charged for everything from marks on walls to burned out light bulbs to the point that you not only do not get your deposit back but are presented with a bill for damages over and above your deposit. It will not be a matter of true wear and tear but of how management can avoid giving you back your deposit and get more money from you. This place is as close to hell as I want to go.

Recent Review:BEST Eastside location! The complex has immediate access to three fabulous parks with beautiful gardens, trails, children's play areas, sports fields, etc.The neighborhood is quiet and yet you're walking distance to Larry's Market and Whole Foods, Bel Square, great restaurants, coffee shops, gas stations, everything you would ever need. This is also one of few complexes (especially in such a great location) that offers very spacious, affordable three bedrooms as well. Our apartment is huge, updated, with extra storage and a nice patio that looks out into woods.Although not fancy or distinct, the apartment was immaculate and functioning properly when we moved in.We rarely see our neighbors, and aside from the occasional toilet flush, we rarely hear them. The complex is very quiet except for the swamp full of frogs in the spring, but we actually enjoy listening to them.Parking is never a problem (plus there's underground and garage options for additional cost), and the grounds are well-kept and very clean. Maintenance is prompt, efficient, and courteous, and responded well to "special requests."The pool and clubhouse are nice, and they allow cats and large dogs (I've never seen any poo poo either).Accent walls are offered and they'll clean your carpets or blinds for free when you renew your lease. This place is a real winner, with the exception of just a few things:Management: Rarely greet you with a smile, never learned our names, and entirely TOO professional.Despite this, they NEVER returned one single call. The turnover is high and their newbies aren't adequately trained to respond quickly and accurately to tennant needs. They do you the favor of holding your packages if you are not home when they are delivered, but never tell you they have them.Even a box labeled, "perishable, open immediately" from 1-800-Flowers got tossed in the closet and forgotten. We were promised $100 for referrals, however, had to ask for them even though the new tennants wrote our names on their applications.Exercise room: tiny and poorly equiped.Business Center: non-existentSense of Community: noneSecurity: None. This is an affluent area, so there are car prowlers but if you empty your car you won't have a problem.I've never actually seen a shady character in the complex and have felt very safe here.Utilities and Amenities: You pay for everything. We've nicknamed the cable company "Ghetto Cable" because it lacks some very basic channels. The complex is only wired for DSL (no cable modem) but we cancelled it because we could never get a good connection (this may not be the case for all units).W/S/G and electricity are expensive. Our ground floor apartment grew mold as well, which is common in the Pacific NW, but a real problem nonetheless. We lost a few belongings to mold infestation as well as a few medical bills for my roommate the singer who had voice issues because of it.If you don't get many surprise packages and don't depend on a well-equiped fitness room or business center then this is the place for you.I assume not all units have a bad DSL connection or a mold problem.I've been MOSTLY happy with this place, however I think that I would have an easier time calling this place "home" if I felt supported and respected by management. I've recently noticed new lead staff however, and they seem to smile a bit more :)

Recent Review:We broke our lease because of poor management. We were promised things that they never followed through on.Work orders don't get done, no matter how serious it is.We had big black ants in our bathroom and we called them to send pest control and they said they would have them out within 2 days and that never happened. We ended up buying a can of raid and got rid of them ourselves. We ended up calling the Asset manager who did absolutely nothing. Would not recommend this place at all.
