Recent Review:My husband and I lived in these apartments last summer. The staff was very helpful and the maintenance was great too.Sure some neighbors got a little noisy at times, but that's to be expected from apartment living. We really liked the location -- close to grocery stores and the interstate.Overall, we thought it was a great place to live.We lived here for just over three months and we spotlessly cleaned to whole place when we left. Then the person who was doing the final inspection before we left informed us that we would have to pay for a professional to clean it even though she said she had never seen an apartment left so clean. We only lived there for three months and we were billed for new paint on every wall (ridiculous! We didn't even put pictures up and we don't have any children to get fingerprints on them either!).That was the one thing that really disappointed us about Brighton Ridge.I would live here again if not for the way they treated us in the end.

Recent Review:Policies and rules that are enforced change with each change in management.Getting repairs done is almost impossible.Always say that they are short of staff.Office says that staff is on vacation but I don't believe that their repair people get that many vacation hours. They need to hire more repair people.Neighbors are good.Buildings are old and show their age.If you aren't careful mildew can be a problem. The office will say that you caused the problem.
4. Hilltop Apartment
500 Monroe Ave Ne

Recent Review:Probably the cheapest but still have above average "living" condition around Renton Highland (zip 98056). The apartments are not too old, quite clean, acceptable size, quite quiet, close to I-405 and South Center. But thats where the pros end.The biggest problem is the management. They are quite intrusive. The management pay attention and put effort in the wrong spot. They care about useless stuff but become a pain in the a$$ where it matters. And if you plan to live in Hilltop, be prepare to walk a whole block just to take out the trash. Cause they don't have dumpsters near every building. The whole complex only have one dumpsters. They did it to cut cost and people have to walk a whole block just to throw out the trast. And when people accumulate a few bags at their door steps so that they can take them all out just in one trip, the management started fining people $35 everytime they find trash bag outside people front door. The way of parking arrangement is quite disorganized. It makes parking a real problem in Hilltop. Finally, the manager office suppose to open at 9:00am in the morning, but don't expect anybody there to take your monthly rent payment until after 10:00am.Conclusion:If you are look for a cheap but decent place for temporary living or short term least, Hilltop is your choice. Otherwise, stay away from this Apartment. Go to Lexinton Height down the hill to the West or The Winsor down a few blocks to the East.

Recent Review:If you are interested in moving here come take a look. It's just as good as any other apartment. Maybe a little better. Very cute inside and out. Better than other apartments I looked at in Renton. Pretty quiet (except occasionally on Fri & Sat in the warmer months).OnRent.com it says 1 bed/1 bath starts at $910 but when I moved in during peak moving season last summer I was quoted $795 over the phone. When I came to view the apartments I was quoted $750. I now pay $720. Not too bad. I suppose they have the high price listed to scare away to low income/low class people. NO SECTION 8.Lots of cute, young, 20 somethings. Very few kids and even few teens. Great place to live if you are single.Large indoor b-ball court. Small gym (NOT open 24 hrs). Free taning.Limited parking. Garages are too expensive ($100/mo) covered is $45 and that doesn't guarantee no one will park there (rare but it's happened). The parking is hit and miss for the general spaces. Sometimes you get good spots, but every so often you end up having to hike (and I do mean hike!) up to your apartment. You will rarely get a grade-A spot but semi-close spaces most often. Just park your car next to the curb while you unload your groceries.Stylish interiors. I don't care for the gray carpet. I realize it's neutral but I would prefer beige. Large bathrooms. Adequate kitchen storage. Pantry! Dishwasher works great; loud though.Newer full size washer and dryer.Livingrooms will make you think creatively. Where to put the TV???? No baseboard heater in livingroom (thank God!).I feel safe here as a single young woman. I never even see a stray dog running around in the parking lot. I am afraid of dogs so that means a lot to me :)I have never made a call to the office. I have never had a problem with anything. My friends and family say that it's a very cute apartment. You can see Seattle from many apartments and the club house. You can hear your neighbors very well if you live on the 1st or 2nd floor. I think that is common with all apartments.I am happy here and am renewing my lease for another year.

Recent Review:Marina Landing has been a great place to live. Set next to a park on Lake Washington, the views and scenary are fabulous. The staff are very friendly, know you by name, and go out of their way to help you. There are always fresh-baked cookies and plenty of smiles when you go into the office. Marina Landing really makes you feel at home.

Recent Review:I have lived here 3yrs, it is, for the most part very quiet. I have felt safe here also. There is no covered parking unless you pay extra. The rent is reasonalbe and garbage, water and cable are included in rent. Pets are welcome w/ a hefty deposit. I don't know but have heard it may be hard to get any deposits back here.I have enjoyed living here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to a a decent place to live w/o spending a fortune. The managment can be a little unfriendly sometimes but do an excellent job of maintaining the grounds and don't tolerate a lot of misbehaving.....
8. The Carriages At Fairwood Downs
15030 Se 179th St
Renton  WA, 98058

Recent Review:Car break-ins are common. One evening my car got broken into as well as at least one other car with damage and the stereos were stolen.I have never seen the security patrolling the area, if there is any.I have walked from the clubhouse in the evening to my apartment and have seen young men trying to break into the cars that were parked there, right in front of the office. The floorplan I looked at prior to moving in did not show that the master bedroom has no windows but does have a sliding glass door with a public walkway leading right to it.Summer was torture and we were forced to leave this cracked which is very unsafe. The management ent'd w/o my permission, after I specifically stated and had it in writing that no one was to enter unless someone was at home. The apartment was not unclean when we moved in.Drug deals are very common in parking lot.

Recent Review:I have lived here now for a few months and I love it here!!The office staff is wonderful and so is the maitenance staff. The staff has been here for over two years and that is very uncommon. They all live here as well.
