Recent Review:The Property manager, Jim, is actually responsible for stealing! A fellow resident of the building complex that I live in left some furniture outside so that his sister could come by and pick it up. Jim took the furniture and told the resident that is must have been stolen by a passer-by.In addition to this, the building manager, Bernard, does a terrible job keeping the building clean. There are always newspapers everywhere in the halls, the front vestibule is always dirty, and he leaves signs up everywhere that say "Help keep the building building clean, it's your home too!" I'm sorry but we're not getting paid to clean the building, he is. It's HIS responsibility to keep the building clean. One more thing... if you're still planning on moving here, you better know how to do your own maintenance, because Bell's so-called maintenance crew doesn't do anything! Case in point- I called Bell's maintenance in November, 2004 to have a problem fixed in my apartment and it is now February, 2005 and nothing has been done. I was also promised a new window in my bathroom when I moved in and I've lived here for almost a year now, and that hasn't been done either. My advise to you... avoid this building and all of Bell Properties' other buildings in Milwaukee!!!

Recent Review:I know it is hard to believe in this day and age BUT it's true. The things that have gone wrong in my apartment were fixed within 2 hours of me calling the maintenance office. Parking is ample, also these buildings (4 buildings with 75 one bedroom units each) are only 1 block from 2 major bus routes (1 E&W - 1 N&S), close to shopping, banks, restaurants, etc. Very Good neighborhood, LOW crime with good property values. This complex is located in a single family, well established community. My neighbors are friendly yet they tend to mind their own business and leave others alone. The apartments are modern and very well taken care of, Freshly painted with either new or newer carpeting and appliances.

Recent Review:This is a miserable place to live. The lights are frequently burnt out, the smell of drugs is always in the air.It is loud and the police are frequently called to deal with situations.

Recent Review:Sometimes the management tries, some times they don't.Maintenance: Since we were here, we had water leak through our roof from the apartment above, and a couple weeks later our kitchen sink over flowed due to the neighbors above again. The emergency maintenance is partially nonexistent, their solution is to wake by your neighbors at 5am and tell them to not use their water (THAT's IT).Once it's during the normal business hours the main maintenance crew is fast and does a good job.Parking: Apt comes with one free parking spot and $20 for each additional spot.Parking on some of the weekends is hard to find from time to time. They try occasionally ticketing people, but the lot still fills up with non-registered cars, leaving no space for those who pay for it.Grounds:They are maintained fairly well. Some cars got broken into, but this is fairly normal in Milwaukee. Most of the time I feel safe, but their are occasions where there seems like gang like activity.Located near a small mall.Easy to get on to the express way. They clear the snow in the parking lots when they have time (very helpful), and they try to salt the sidewalks.Apartments:The apts vary depending on the building. The floors are very squeaky, you can hear louder neighbors though the walls, and you can hear people outside your windows crystal clear. They are fairly big apartment with big closets, and a storage locker.Excellent water pressure, but the water temperature is inconsistence, jumping around between too hot and cold.Hot water does run out, but not too often or for too long.Heat is sufficient, but windows leak cold air.The garbage disposals are weak and partially unless.Managers:The managers try to help when they can. They have mood swings, going from extreme mean and rude to friendly and helpful.I think they realize this so, if you come back or stay friendly the attitudes change for the better. You can see their is a lot of politics going on with the apartments.
