Review: I just moved in to this complex. The complex is low-income so they can provide cheaper rent. This sucks for me, the starving college student, my apartment has five people in it. The complex itself looks kinda shabby, but I think it is because it has white paint that has gotten dirty. The people who work there are okay, I spoke with two people. One was really bad at her job and the other was great. Other than that, I went down to the pool at 1 pm today to find it closed for some reason that was not explained. I went yesterday as well to see it closed. I also went to get a paper at the paper machine by the mailboxes each day every day since I moved here to find them empty, leaving me to wonder if they are ever filled at all. Today I also went to get a soda from the pepsi machine only to find it completely sold out. Thus, the maintenence seems crappy.The walls are also paper thin and my apartment was not freshly painted and had old carpet when i moved in. There were dents and wallpaper peeling on the cabinetry. They charge way too much for washer and dryers ($30 a month). Electricity is a bitch to set up with SMP's huge deposits. With the income limit on occupants, I and someone else had to sneak in.Now onto the positives. It's cheap. It's cheap. The vaulted ceilings in the 2nd story apartments are awesome. The complex is located right behind wal-mart so I don't have to walk far. Right accross the street from a college so a wifi connection isn't hard to get in some apartments (not mine though)I would suggest you go for the apartment. The rent is cheap.

Review: After being laid off my old job, I did not work for 6 months and needed a place for me and my family to stay.While I had some concerns about the apartments, it met the financial need at that time.I am now counting the days until my lease is up so that I can move.Everything you may have read about the apartments prior to reading this review is true.These are the worst managed apartments, I have ever seen or heard of.It literally takes weeks to get a response from the office team and when you do get to talk to someone, they have not a clue as to what they are talking about.I put a letter in writing to the apartment manager and the regional office and only received a response from the regional office saying the management team would be contacting me and that has now been 3 months.The AC has been in repairfor months now and each apartment has approximately, 4 holes cut in them where new pipes (still exposed) were put in to run the new ? chiller system.The maintenance fix for mold on the wall is to paint over it, which is also what they did prior to my moving in to make the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom appear to be clean and new.The bathroom sink overflowed 4 months ago and the carpet still has not been cleaned.You pay extra for parking, but it doesn't matter as the residents park wherever and dare you to say anything, then when you report it to the office, they tell you to put a sticker on the car informing them the car will be towed (setting yourself up for the perpetrators to break into your car later) and there is nothing else they can do or will do.The grounds are not kept up, broken windows are never fixed, screens are non-existent on plexiglass windows, pool is filthy, you have to request to have your apartment sprayed for bugs monthly in order not to see them, and I could keep on going, but...need I say more.I would never recommend this complex to anyone even if they were in need.Believe you me, I am reporting them to whomever I can.Again, I am counting the days.

Review: La Contenta has completely gone down hill.

Rampant drug use in numerous apartments, noise, and a unresponsive management team make this complex a horrible place to live. The noise ranges from blarring bass to unsupervised screaming kids throughout the complex.

You will be able to find much quieter and safer apartments elsewhere.

Review: I lived here for about a year and a half, and in my time there a number of things happened that made me leave and never want to go back. First, my car was keyed more than once, and someone wrote on the trunk in magic marker. There were people partying or arguing at all hours of the night, with no attempt made by the office to quiet them. You would see cop cars there often, in fact they keep an OFFICE in the apartment complex! More than once you'd hear helicopters flying over searching for someone, meanwhile the cops are telling you to close and lock your doors and windows. There was a period of a couple of months where a rapist was breaking into apartments. Basically, I felt VERY unsafe there, whether it was daylight or dark. The insides of the apartments were small to say the least, and not a single appliance worked correctly. You couldn't keep anything in the fridge for more than a day or two, because it would spoil almost instantly. The toilet always leaked despite numerous attempts by maintenance to fix it, and the shower never drained, so you'd be standing in two feet of water. Honestly, I could drag the horror stories out for hours. The money you save (the rent was rather cheap, $700 for a two bedroom that included all utilities) isn't worth it. Don't live there. It's been a few years since I lived there, so I'm sure it has gotten much worse.

Review: When my fiance and I first moved here everything was fantastic. The management team was wonderful and friendly and the landscape was to die for.The apartments are somewhat cheaply made. Forget trying to find a stud in the walls to hang anything heavy! There are barely any! Florecsent lighting in closets and hallways sometimes take about 45 seconds to turn on! The vaulted ceilings are nice and give the apartment a spacious feel. Bugs love moving in with you and you have to battle to keep your aquarium clean of parasites at times. Parents allow their kids to run freely, raise hell, scream at the tops of their lungs, steal and destroy property. Visitors of Tenants love to steal your reserved parking and geuss what, you can't do anything about it!!!!Believe me I have tried!!!!Domestic violence is almost an everyday thing here with families and couples! The complex won't kick these people out like they are supposed to!The circuit breakers like to cut off in the master bedroom when ever someone in the oposite bathroom uses something over 15 watts!The fire alarms like to go off in the summer during high humidity!The landscapers tend to slack off for days at a time!The maintenance crew is awsome. You never have to wait more than a day for them to fix something.Hey, anything beats Desert Palm Village Apartments where we previously lived.
