We lived there for three years and it was so handy to everything. It's just across the steet fromthe nicest shopping, market and restaurant center in town and just across the 101 freeway (walking distance across the bridge) from the Premium Outlet Center and movie complesx. Las Posas Road, just a block away, leads out to the Navy base at Point Mugu. Rents are reasonable for the area and the manager, Dee Ann Reed, is very helpful and friendly and everyone in the complex loves her! Before we got tranferred they had just installed anew paver entryway with beautiful lighting and the apartments are delightfully clean and maintained. We recommend living there!John and Jody

Apartment Reviews - Villa Palazzo, Camarillo

Villa Palazzo
750 Mobil Ave
Camarillo, CA

Overall Rating: 1 (out of 5)

Review: These apartments are run by management who neither know what they're doing nor do they care what they're doing.Nobody is ever in the office to answer any questions and they have never been helpful.Management can be found inviting their extended families to use the pool and gossiping on the phone in the office.Rent is outrageously expensive for what the value of these apartments are worth.Nothing is ever fixed if it's broken and notices are left on the door that are un comprehensible. The management here is just really unprofessional. They probably only took the job to have free lodging.Just turn away from this place...it is so not worth it!!

Apartment Reviews - Camarillo Oaks, camarillo

Camarillo Oaks
925 Paseo Camarillo
Camarillo, CA

Overall Rating: 1 (out of 5)

Review: The office staff have no idea what is going on. I ran into some problems while living there and when I went in to report them, they always blamed someone else in the office. Also, near the end of my lease, I told them I had planned on moving out. They said they would send me a lease renewal, so that I would have the option of staying. However, I never received it in my mailbox. And just when I found a new place to stay, they "conveniently" tell me that I need to give them a 30-day "written" notice. So, what pisses me off is the fact that they didn't mention this to me when I went in earlier to tell them I was moving out. They were too unorganized to let their residents know what the moving out policy is, which caused me to effectively pay rent for two apartments.WARNING: Don't think that just because your lease is expiring that that's the end of your contract. No, it automatically becomes a month-to-month contract after your lease expires, so make sure you give them a 30-day writtten notice if you decide to leave here.I DO NOT recommend living here though. There are other places within Camarillo that are alot nicer. Plus, it seems like they rent the apartments to anyone. I had neighbors who did drugs outside on the patio everyday. They, along with other neighbors, were very loud. Having conversations outside (which everyone can hear) until 1 AM in the morning.Just for the record, I paid my rent on time every month.I did not cause any problems and was not requested to leave by the office.I left because of bad neighbors and bad management.

Apartment Reviews - Rosewood Apartments, Camarillo

Rosewood Apartments
555 Rosewood Avenue
Camarillo, CA

Overall Rating: 1 (out of 5)

Review: Once upon a time, two friends rented a Ryder truck and moved from the snowy climes of Minnesota in search of sunny days in California. They found an apartment and lo, they were happy. For about a minute. We have had constant, unresolved problems with mold---and LOTS of it---in our bathroom.Their solution?Paint over it and hope we don't come back to complain.Well, guess what, it keeps coming back! What a shocker!Once they told us to keep the bathroom fan on, which was a no-brainer because it turns on when you turn on the light, but although it's noisy, there doesn't appear to be any air coming out.Complaints about that went unanswered too. Thanks to California's rainy season and poor weatherstripping around the windows, we also started getting mold around the bedroom and living room windows. And a new wrinkle...cockroaches!My roommate and I take the trash out every single day, and dirty dishes aren't allowed to pile up in the sink...but yet we have roaches. We've also enjoyed visits from spiders, silverfish, and tiny black beetles that we have been unable to identify.Complaints again went unanswered. Also, there are some very scuzzy people living here, drawn no doubt by the cheap rent.I have seen pitbulls, obvious gang members, and guys who look like "Cops" rejects roaming around the complex. So, to sum up, if you're a budding entomologist, you'll have plenty of insects to study and enjoy. If you're a scientist, perhaps you can find a cure for cancer or the common cold lurking in the abundant mold. And if you're a social anthropologist, you might want to study the gang members. If, however, you fall into none of these categories, and you value your health, safety, and sanity more than you value the extra money you'll spend to live somewhere nice, STAY AWAY.We've finally saved up enough money to move to a much nicer place and I'm never, ever looking back!
