Wed, 27 Jul 2005 02:15:05 CST Apartment Reviews - Laurel Valley, Sterling Heightshttp://www.rentersparadise.com/apartment-ratings/mi-sterling-heights.htmLaurel Valley<br>Dequindre<br>Sterling Heights, MI<br><br>Overall Rating: 2 (out of 5)<br><br><strong>Review:</strong> Laurel Valley Apartments are nice, however, the management and staff are horrible.I had a 13 month lease, out of which I actually stayed in the apartment on the week-end due to work (sometimes not even every week-end).One day I received a complaint/warning in the mail regarding loud televisions, radios, running, and arguing coming from my unit throughout the week.Mind you I was never there, and when I was there, that was my time to unwind (I lived alone and never had any company).The way the units are built, you really can not tell where certain noises are coming from.I immediately contacted management regarding the letter and let them know that the noise was not coming from my untit, etc.They stated basically that they have to go on what they were told and that if they receive another complaint that they would go through court proceedings.Are you kidding me?I have never heard of such thing.You can possibly get evicted based on a lie or an assumption.No one ever tried to hear my side of the story, nor investigate the situation at all.That was totally wrong.Outside of this issue, there were many other issues with management that was totally out of line.They will never aknowledge that they are wrong, and the tenants do not have a VOICE at all.This was not just with the local office but with the corporate office as well.They are really nice to you while trying to get you to rent, then they do a 360 on you.In addition, the maintenance team is clueless.There is nothing more to say about them.If you have a perfect apartment, perfect neighbors, and no other problems, then you will be fine.If you have to deal with management and or maintenance at all, GOOD LUCK.
