Review: I lived at Sterling ( now called University Gables ) for one year. Within the first few months of living there, about 6 or 7 cars were broken into. These buildings, and everything in them, were built quickly and poorly. The plaster on the walls will fall off if you accidently bump it. All of the windows hadto be covered w/blankets and/or towels during winter because A LOTof cold air blew through. If you live here, except to pay extra money monthly for your "overages" in water and electricity. The maintence staff responds quickly if you need something fixed in your apartment..thats a plus!Because this is a collegiate residence, it's VERY LOUD!!!!!!!!!! Even on school nights!The workout room that they promise you has outdated equipment that barely works.The computers in their computer lab are verrrrry slow and old.While those are a lot of complaints...most apartment complexes in Murfreesboro will either be the same, or worse.

Review: These apartments are old and run down. The paint job sucked; the carpet, linoleum, and cabinets looked like a throwback to the '60s; and the plumbing stopped up regularly. The exterior stairs are rusting away. In the one bedroom units there are only two exterior windows; which really sucks when you love natural light and both of the windows face north.The laundry room was nasty! If you value your clothing go somewhere else.There are very few outside lights and the neighborhood is pretty trashy. There is very little parking for residents and visitors must have a guest pass (only one issued per apt.).The management was OK, although they were pretty bitchy when I told them I'd resign the lease if they'd replace the carpet and linolem. For heavens sake, the carpet was faded so badly I could tell where the previous resident had every piece of furniture (she had lived there for something like 15 years!) and the linoleum in the kitchen had spots wearing through!The complex is located on a very busy road, the noise wasn't too bad except for the fact that a police car or ambulance went screaming by 3-5 times per day.I've been told that this complex changes hands regularly and none of the owners have been willing to put any funds into fixing the place up. I know that there are new owners since I moved out and the complex has changed its name (I can't remember what it is now).

Review: I lived there for over a year.It's not the absolute nicest place to live, but it's one of the better deals in town.The apartments are usually larger than most, so you have quite a bit of room compared to some of the other places in town.We never had a lot of maintanence issues, but we rarely had to call them.They were very reasonable and when we didn't renew our lease they allowed us to go month to month with no problems.It is a VERY loud neighborhood and very thin walls, but that tends to be because of the other tenants and the loose rules.Besides the noise I didn't find it too terrible.

Review: These apartments changed hands recently.They went from being owned privately to being owned by a company.This new company refused to honor any agreement made by the former owners unless it was in writing.The former managers never put anything in writing, just a good faith agreement.Also the security and pet deposits that are put down don't actually cover any damages you leave.They will want you to pay more.If those damage payments are required they won't take a check (even though they are very willing to take your check for rent), nor will they take cash.Since being taken over by the new company (oh and by the way, all the former employees are gone) everything has gone downhill here.Renters beware!

Review: This is a terrible place to live. They never get anything fixed when it is broke. This includes things that are broke before you move in. The electricity blows out all of the time. You can't run a clothes dryer because of this or a hair dryer.If you complain about anything being broken they will start ignoring you and any problem you have. And the next time you walk in they will complain about your apartment being a problem. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. When you run the heater the up stairs gets hot but the down stairs is freezing.There is not parking. You have people dealing drugs by the pool. Where there are small children left by their parents. The managers come by early in the morning to knock on the door and wake you up for no reason or to moving your car for construction. They leave notes are your door that apply to the very next day. Never giving any notice. Basically this is the worst place I have ever lived and I hope they lose their pants for the way they treat people.

Review: Love it, Love it....My apartment is awesome and huge.I love my private entrance and it's not on the highway but close enough for convenience. I would recommend this complex to everyone.

Review: I have lived here for 6 months - my water bill has never been right and the leasing office refuses to fix it. They charge the resident to check the equiptment! My water bill is over 5 times what it was for my last apartment! If not for that bill I could afford a bigger apartment! It is in a nice area but there are better apartments out there - just know what you are getting into if you rent here!

Review: After working in and around apartment properties I have to say that Summerlake is where its at. Not only did I move in but referred several co-workers there as well. Nice Landscaping, great people in the office, vaulted ceilings, and the best part is that i don't have to pay water and cable. I love it here. My neighbor has lived here for almost 10 years.Great place and friendly people i highly recommend.

Review: We have lived at the Paddock Club (it is spelled wrong on this website) for a little over a year, and we will renew our lease again when the time comes.The management are polite, but rather distant. I have had two occasions where a member of the office staff has not realized I live there and offer to show me an apartment when I come to pay the rent. The maintenance "guys" are very polite, helpful, and never hesitate to speak to you. It has never taken any more than a few hours for maintenance to respond to our pleas for help. =)Parking is ample, the pool is wonderful, and the tanning bed is convenient.The apartments are spacious, especially the 3-bedroom apartment, which is what we are currently renting. The apartments are well made and your bills will be lower because of their excellent insulation. The windows are prone to horrendous condensation and need to be wiped every few days to prevent mold.As I mentioned in the title, these apartments can be very pricey and are perhaps unreasonable for your everyday college student. Furthermore, to be fair and offer all aspects both positive and negative, we have had several packages go "missing" from the office. We will order something and it supposedly never arrives. I find this suspicious, because it has happened three times. I have begun having my packages sent to a friend's home.You will feel safe and secure at the Paddock Club, despite the fact that the gated entrance is nearly always "broken."Overall, I would recommend the Paddock Club to nearly anyone that is willing to pay a little more to have a little more prestige, space, and peace of mind.

Review: I can not stress enough to people not to stay here. The apartments are disguisting when you move in, and if you ever need anything fixed you've had it because the maintenance people NEVER come and do their jobs! When we moved into this apartment, our hallway was flooded and was not cleaned up until days later. Not to mention this place is full of insects. We were promised several things when we moved in. For starters we were told we would have high speed internet-NO! Instead they gave us a crappy AOL account that we had to end up paying for because our internet that we were already supposed to have was not done on time. Our yard was nasty because people littered constantly and the maintenance people never cleaned it up. There were people that would take their pets out to potty and it'd be all over our yard and the office told me that they can't do anything about it. The tanning beds never worked, and when they did the plastic lining was cracked. The noise level was high also. The furniture in the unit is old and worn down. The couch is just horrible looking! They look like they got thrown out by the circus! These are just a few complaints! Even though they have new owners after everything thats happened, I'd still never live here again. Consider yourself warned!

Review: My husband and I have been living at Birchwood for almost a year now and I would recommend it. It has very large floorplans (around 1300 sq ft) and great prices. We have a 2BR 2BA with the washer and dryer already in the apartment and we only pay $615/mos!! They have huge bedrooms, closets, and a great kitchen. They have been recarpeting a lot of the apartments, so many have new fresh carpet. They allow pets, the office staff is very friendly, and I've never waited more than 30 minutes on maintenance (even for minor things such as a drain not plugging up in the tub). My only complaint is the noise from my neighbors. We've recently gotten some new ones and they yell a LOT, slam doors, etc... Overall a good place to live.
