Review: This was once a very nice, upscale place to live. Unfortunately, a management company called MBS Management Services has taken over and is quickly turning it into a slum.Because of the low operating budget MBS allows, the complex is now filthy. Maintainence and landscaping services have been scaled back severely. The pool is always dirty, and the grounds are trashy.The area outside the garbage compactor is not only a horrible eyesore, it's likely a health hazard. Trash and refuse overflow into the parking lot daily because MBS has obviously cut down on garbage service.Because of the trash situation, I'm too embarrassed to have guests over. The health department really needs to look into this.The office management doesn't seem to care that the property is so nasty and unkempt. The staff turnover has become so high, one never knows who will be working there from day to day.Security is another grave concern. Since MBS took over management of the property,the security gates have not all worked. Currently, only one works--the one future residents can see. No effort has been made in getting them fixed. The residents the ghetto-like property has been attracting lately don't exactly make the place appear safe. Many have a lot of parties, and their guests take up all the parking. While there is ample parking on the property, one should not count on finding parking in the general vicinity of his/her apartment. This is a pain for those times when one is loaded with groceries and such.I can hardly wait for my lease to be up! I'm out of here, so that I can make room for some more trashy neighbors.

Review: Living here is like living in a ghetto.Neighbors partying, fighting, littering, having sex in the pools, and speeding through the parking lots.Stray dogs, paper thin walls, tiny apartments, cheap everything throughout (except the rent!).Not a safe or welcome environment for children.Would not let my child play with the children here.If you are military or just moving from out of state, beware.This place will make you hate San Antonio.Note:Also in no-where land.There are no sidewalks or room to walk or bike outside of the complex.You can get to the nice grafitti covered neighborhoods by walking along the 35 mph + street.As far as maintance, nice guys, but our water goes off at least once a month, and my garbage disposal just keeps on making a nice smelling soup.

Review: apartments are nice and spacious.Nice weight room, pool.The assistant manager is an idiot.The gate is ALWAYS broken.The "security guard" gets paid to stand around one spot all night and talk on his cell phone and smoke cigarettes, but on a scale of 1-10 I would rate these an 8.

Review: Since the management changed a year ago, this place has been the worst apartment experience I have ever had.I have foundation problems, leaking through my bedroom ceiling and wall, my front entrance floods, None of my windows close, and the extent of their "maintenence work" was to nail a tarp to the front door and dig a hole to stop the flooding.They lie about maintenence work.I was missing the locks to my doors for 3 months, and when they finally came back, they claimed that the employee who made the mistake never existed, even though he still walks through the complex to this day.The only reason I got things fixed was because I threatened to call TAA.I have had my car broken into, witnessed about 3 others, and had people walk onto my porch 3 times and try to get in the apartment.This area has horrible crime and is completely unsafe.I have given up on the apartment and have not called anything in for the past 6 months.If you do chose to live here, please do not sign a year long lease.

Review: For the most part i would say these apartments are pretty good.I live in a one bedroom 1 bathroom apartment.It's spacious and the utility and water bills are reasonable.I pay around $15 to $20 for water and around $65 to $70 in utilities.Maintance is oncall 24/7 and they respond quickly.The only problem with them is that it might take them a few times to actually fix the problem.It took seven calls about an overflowing toilet to get a new one installed.Yeah we suffered because again this is a two bedroom. They also have someone out to spray for bugs every week, and if you call the office to schedule the visit, they do show up to spray.They don't give you a time, just that they come between 8:00 am-12 pm.The management is friendly.The things I don't like are the type of people that live here.I know they need to fill the apartments but they should be a little more selective.I know my previous neighbor was a drug dealer and a lot of cars have been vandalized and broken into.And the pool is clean but I don't trust it because stupid people put their babies who are in diapers in the pool...gross.The basketball courts need to be condemned.I also wish they would enforce the breed restrictions for pets and fine people for not picking up after their dogs.Some advice, watch where you step.For the price it is ok, but I won't be resigning my lease in november.

Review: Park West is run by the worst leasing team ever. Even if you put things in writing they are never done. While living there the toilets overflowed often. The dishwasker had standing dirty water in it. If you ran the dishwasher the sink would overflow (the water never became clean). The sink in the master bath overflowed. All the electrical plugs stopped working on two walls and the light switches were hot to the touch. We were robbed at least 3 times that I can remember. During the first robbery the thiefs broke the windoe right by the front door. The apartments never fixed it and we were robbed several times after that. Plenty of drug dealers and no security (they claimed 24 hr security on-site).

Review: WHEN I FIRST MOVED IN IT WAS GREAT BUT A WEEK LATER MY APT BEGAN TO SMELL LIKE A DEAD ANIMAL WAS IN THE VENT OR SOMETHING. I LET MANAGEMENT KNOW AND THEY CAME UP, SPRAYED LEMON SPRAY, AND LEFT. AFTER I COMPLAINED 100 TIMES THEY LET ME MOVE TO ANOTHER APT. AFTER THAT THINGS WERE OK EXCEPT FOR MANAGEMENT. THEY MESSED LOTS OF THINGS UP AND WERE VERY IGNORANT TO FIX THEM. I REALLY DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE HERE IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

Review: I was going to move in. I saw the model one and it was ok. But the one they showed me once I was about to sign my lease had water stains on the walls. I went through the apartment and saw that there was a HUGR Roach in the bathroom. They said they spray for bugs and that must of been one that was in the house. I was like if there is one there is others...

Review: 1st impression of leasing office should have warned me.Worst office ever been in, like a trashy trailer park decor.Eww but on the way to the apt they showed me , the almost torn down tennis courts and desert dry dirt with no grass anywheres made the actual 1bdrm apt look just below average.My best friend was aldo forced to rent here for 1yr and ran screaming 365days later.We survived, guess you have a 50/50 chance too.p.s. Sorry to the male tenant that came in while we were in the office, he complained about his frig not working for almost a week.Hey dude hope you could afford to move on too.

Review: Very unprofessional management.Be very careful signing a contract with these people.Must adhere to a 60-day moveout clause.Apt. must make all of their money on moveouts, so be sure to get a walkthrough.I've rented in many places, and have never been screwed like this.If you do not get a moveout walkthrough then look out.They can charge you for any damages, real or perceived, and you can do nothing about it.Use a video camera upon move in and write down everything.Complex is not responsive at all about resolving disputes.All disputes go directly to a collection agency without any attempt at resolution.Run the other way.

Review: Great for students.Individual leases per person make this great, but the price for a single was raised recently to about $600, so that kinda sucks.They try to take care of you here, and it's in a good location.You can choose an apartment in the middle and have it feel more urban, or on the outskirts of the complex and feel more rural.Good place, and the safety is really nice.

Review: I've lived here for 4 years and I'm finally leaving.Since management changed a couple years ago, everything has gone down hill.Good luck getting anything fixed.Our water faucet busted and water was everywhere, and they said that it WASN'T an emergencySEVERAL cars have been broken into.They've tried to break into mine and my mother's cars.I can tell that someone has tried to Jimmy my lock.My neighbor had her car broken into last year, and it's parked RIGHT in front of her bedroom window, under a street light.There have been several car break-ins.I was parked next to a guy whose car got broken into.I came out in the morning and was his window in pieces on the ground and speakers in his car were gone.Another neighbor got robbed when he went on vacation.Someone must have seen him leaving bc he was only gone for a few days.Would not recommend at all....

Review: I lived at these apartments 4 years ago and it was just as bad then, I wouldn't expect that it would improve if it has yet to.I called the police constantly about the guys who dealt drugs out of the apartment upstairs from me.I told management what they were doing.No one did anything.I had a friend who lived across the complex from me and someone was shot and killed in an apartment in the building next to his.Definite two thumbs way down.They also tried to lock me into a 13 month and 3 day lease that had so many alterations onthe front that my attorney said it should have been voided.
